We assist all departments in securing affordable housing projects. Our consistent approach includes bid prep, project management, and funding applications, ensuring we are the developer of choice for public-private partnerships.
We are responsible for all systems, devices, office IT systems such as Office 365 and Dynamics, Cyber-Security. We’re also responsible for Business Change, which includes all project & programme management, system training and change management.
Our team unites architects, engineers, and sustainability experts to design and build new homes. Combining expertise, we deliver innovative solutions and high-quality developments, keeping us at the forefront of our industry.
Our team leads sales, marketing, and lending strategy. We set brand direction, manage media and marketing tech, and create content. We guide our divisions with tools and expertise to boost sales and brand.
Our team is dedicated to building and retaining a sustainable workforce across our business. We attract, recruit, and develop a diverse range of people. We drive an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive and grow, ensuring our people feel engaged and listened to. Our operations team manages employee relations, overseeing performance reviews, addressing grievances, and handling disciplinary actions.
We assist divisions in buying land with planning approval to meet volume goals. We provide guidance and updates on Group plans, and collaborate to secure viable permissions that align with land strategy and deliver development-ready sites.
We assist divisions with all aspects of Commercial including taking off drawings, estimating prices and analysing commercial data. We also ensure consistency and integrity in our divisions by supporting them to comply with Barratt’s Commercial policies and procedures.
We lead large-scale developments (master developers) to create vibrant communities. We partner with landowners to assemble land, plan, build infrastructure, and deliver finished sites to builders, all while ensuring high-quality placemaking.
We focus on resolving issues at legacy developments, that we have built over the last 30 years. The team handle incoming enquiries about fire and structural safety, primarily relating to multi-occupancy buildings, engaging with divisions where required to seek early resolution of issues and support residents, while mitigating costs, managing reputation and preserving shareholder value
We are responsible for the reputation of the business, managing stakeholder engagement, employee communications, media and government (local and national) relations. We do this by being trusted advisors, building strong stakeholder relationships, as well as PR and social media management and employee communications.
Our team supports the business in identifying risk, ensuring we have suitable internal controls and providing assurance over these risks and controls.
We have several functions, all of which provide a variety of Finance-related advice and help across our businesses and divisional offices. Our teams include: Group Accounting, Central Finance, Group Finance Systems Support (GFSS), Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Sustainability, Group Tax and Group Treasury.
We support our businesses to understand and manage the legal, regulatory and risk challenges across property, regulation, construction, Building Safety Unit, disputes, customer matters, compliance, legal operations and so much more.
We are responsible for the development and implementation of the sustainability strategy, which brings together our sustainability ambitions, targets, activities and metrics to ensure that important issues and solutions are deeply rooted in every business decision and day-to-day action we take.
We manage the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services by negotiating contracts, ensuring cost efficiency and maintaining supplier relationships. We uphold quality standards while ensuring the timely and budget-conscious completion of our developments.
We specify and manage customer care policies and procedures, support our divisional customer care teams through training and development. We also measure and report on customer care performance, provide customer insight for decision-making and business planning, and drive continuous improvement in customer care operations.
We ensure high-quality construction standards and promote safety, health, and environmental practices across our developments. We oversee project execution, implement safety protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and enforce sustainable practices to enhance overall project quality and worker well-being.
